Back to business

The Organizing Committee meets every Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. at Engineering building room A111. IEEE will be avalible at these meetings as the input from SIUIS exposition is directly related. Questions passed from the Engineering Student Council will be discussed and recorded at this time.

The role of ESC is to administer communications from RSO's & Departments to the Organizing Committee. Any inquiries to event dynamics, advertisements, social networks, speakers, etc. should be passing through ESC to the OC.

The OC has been in operation for 25 weeks, since the Dean asked for it to be developed; phase 4 is now in effect.

All who are reading this message are more than welcome to post updates to their progress and ask questions.

We now have technical seminars which deal with Electrical, Computer, Civil, and Mechanical...along with career corespondance activities for Thursday confirmed.

Could the guests to this blog please post what activities you're planning on having during Xtremely Engineering?

Thank you

Shift of Power

As of today, the Engineering Student Council has been given the point of contact position for the Xtremely Engineering conference. This site can still be used for communication. The ESC meetings are every Monday @ 6:00 in the Dean's conference room. It is my personal opinion that there should still be separate planning meetings for the conference.

I will be around tonight from 4:00-5:00 to make sure everyone knows about the changes that are happening. Don't be discouraged this might be a step forward for the conference.

Peace

Reminder, no eXe meeting today, thurs sept 28

There will be no meeting for eXe today, thurs sept 28 due to most of the IEEE officers being gone for a section meeting in St. Louis. We attempted to have someone else host it, but that did not work out. Sorry, see you next week!

Meeting with Dean Wed, Sept 27 9:15

Copy of e-mail message from Abbie.

Hello everyone,
This Wednesday, Sept. 27th, there will be a meeting with Dean
Osborne to discuss the schedule for eXe. If you would like to come to
the meeting, meet outside the dean's office at 9:15. It is not necessary
to have a large turnout as we will just be showing the dean what we want
to do for our "student activities."

Next two meetings.....

Everyone,

The next meeting will have to be moved to the KT Simonds Lounge due to a conflict with another meeting. I will be waiting at the Deans conference room to redirect people in case you dont see this. During this weeks meetings we will be discussing a meeting that occured with the Dean which may change the format of the conference.

The meeting on the 28th can be held but I and a few others may not be able to attend because of IEEE business at the St Louis section.

Questions, comments, remarks. Bring them on!
